The antiviral medications proved to treat influenza can be divided into two types – M2 protein inhibitors, such as Amantadine, and neuraminidase inhibitors, such as Oseltamivir (Tamiflu) and Relenza that are used to treat Influenzas A and B administered within 48 hours of the onset of symptoms.
