Please allow me to introduce myself. I am Miss German Shepherd. Even though I look fierce, I am actually very gentle. During my 130-day stay at the Taichung Animal Shelter, everyone here has tried to find a special someone for me. Because I am still young, have abundant of energy, and am also a large dog, the Taichung Animal Shelter listed some conditions for people who wish to adopt me: (1) The adopter must have time to take me out for exercise. (2) The adopter must provide sufficient space, so I can move around. (3) The adopter must know the characteristics of German Shepherds. (4) The adopter must love and not abandon me. Of course, I must get myself ready for the adoption as well. I have behaved myself and accepted the dog trainer's instruction during this period, and have learned basic obedience and simple commands. Finally, a suitable owner was found for me on June 3.
The T.N.T.A. animal welfare policy is now being implemented vigorously. "T.N.T.A." refers to Trapping, Neutering, Training, and Adoption. Through a dog trainer's basic training, interaction and trust between us and humans can be increased. At present, 120 lucky dogs just like me have found new homes.
On June 4, under sunny skies and a gentle breeze, I rode in Taiwan's first "Animal Adoption Truck" and arrived at my new home. My happy life began today.
