The first-ever "Adoption, an Act that will Never go out of Fashion" fashion show was held on the second day of the 2016 Let's go Supporting Animal Carnival (October 2). In this event, ten entertainers, including Huang Chih-wei, Yin Chi, Li Wei-wei, Lin Li-fei, and Cheng Yu-chiao, arranged by Eelin Entertainment, led ten dogs awaiting adoption from Taichung Animal Shelter onto the runway, giving these furry children looking for homes a chance to be seen under the bright lights. The event broke with the conventional thinking that "adoption of furry children is motivated by sympathy and kindness," and presented the re-interpretation that "responsible adoption of furry children is a beautiful, happy, and fashionable action"!
During the activity, everyone came together and shouted the slogan "Before adoption, be knowledgeable and prepared; after adoption, take good care of your furry child, and do not abandon it."
The event also had booths featuring creative animal image designs and promoting animal protection, an animal-friendly living area, an animal cultural creativity market, a furry children marketplace, an animal protection and conservation promotion area, and a companion animal adoption activity area. There was close to 100 interesting booths at the event, which attracted people from all over Taiwan. We hope that this event will leave wonderful memories in all of our hearts. While picnicking, browsing the markets, watching the fashion show, and listening in beautiful Taichung City Government Plaza, the happy experience reminded participants that concern for animals is a wonderful thing; everyone learned new things while having fun, and the spirit of love and caring for animals inspired everyone to "to realize animal protection through actual practice" on a daily basis.
