The Health Inspection Office jointly conducted the "Let's Dog Party" activity with the dog park at the Lihpao Outlet Mall on April 28. Apart from relying on fun interaction between owners and their pets to strengthen mutual bonds, the Health Inspection Office used a quiz show question and answer format to convey correct pet raising concepts to owners, and thereby increase the love between pets and their owners.
In order to further publicize the spirit of kindness to pets, the Health Inspection Office cooperated with the Li Xin Emporium Co., Ltd. To hold the birthday party-themed "Let's Dog Party" activity, and pet owners were invited to bring their furry children to take part in this pet birthday party. Apart from a human-animal cooperative maze game aimed at increasing trust and friendship between owners and their pets, the Health Inspection Office also used a quiz show-type game with prizes to publicize pet owners' responsibilities, and encourage owners to correctly care for their furry children. The event ended on a happy note with owners and their furry children jointly cutting birthday cakes, and it could be seen that the one-day activity had obviously increased trust and warmth between the participants and their pets.
"Respect" is the first step in the proper treatment of pets, and expresses the spirit of goodwill. Owners must fulfill their responsibilities as masters, and teach their furry children good behavior—so that they will be welcome everywhere. In order to create an environment in which humans and animals can coexist in harmony, the Health Inspection Office has conducted the "Taichung Pet-friendly Space Mark" certification program since 2017, and the Lihpao Outlet Mall has participated since that year. Apart from specially setting out pet carts that could be rented by visitors, the Outlet Mall also established an outdoor dog playground on the second floor where people could have fun playing with their dogs. In response to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, the "Let's Dog Party" activity was held entirely outside, and all participants had to disinfect their hands and wear face masks. The Health Inspection Office also took this opportunity to remind owners that maintaining good sanitation habits at all times, hand-washing using soap and water, and keeping the home environment clean are the most effective ways to preserve the health of humans and animals alike.
