The Health Inspection Office held the "You, my beloved pet" pet birthday party in conjunction with Taichung's 2023 Residents' Picnic Day on November 26. Held in the lovely environs of the Taiping District's Pinglin Forest Park, this event attracted over 100 pet owners and their furry kids to jointly celebrate at this festive birthday party.

The most exciting thing about this party was that every furry kid got its very own birthday meat cupcake. Owners brought their pets over to have photos taken with the cupcakes, letting them preserve their warm memories of this activity. The birthday party was only open to persons who had completed registration of their dogs or cats. Pet registration is a legal responsibility that all pet owners must fulfill, and helps many lost dogs and cats find their way home.

The Health Inspection Office booth at the party gave out animal picture books and held a do-it-yourself label pin activity in an effort to promote the animal protection ethos in a fun way. The pet health examination booth was also the scene of brisk activity; the veterinarians staffing this booth gave the animals health checkups, and also relied on health education to teach owners correct animal care and veterinary knowledge.
