The Health Inspection Office and Healing Dog Psy Studio jointly conducted a series of in-depth animal protection education sessions employing therapy dogs as little teaching assistants. Starting in September, these sessions were held over a period of more than two months at Dongxing and Laicuo elementary schools, where the sessions were held on a small-class basis once each week. Achievement presentation meetings held on November 17 at Dongxing Elementary School and on November 23 at Laicuo Elementary School gave parents, teachers, and children a chance to see the positive changes achieved when counseling takes advantage of animals' therapeutic powers.

Animal-assisted intervention involves the pairing of therapeutic animals with human services, and in fact includes animal-assisted therapy, counseling, and education, etc. The use of therapy animals can help improve people's physical and mental health and quality of life. This animal-assisted counseling intervention on school campuses involved social workers and counseling psychologists, who brought therapy dogs to the in-depth animal protection classes. The therapy dogs performed admirably as teaching assistants, and ensured that even the kids with little interest in school attentively absorbed animal-related knowledge. As a result, the children all listened earnestly to the instructors' explanations and techniques for getting along with dogs. During the training exercises, the kids willingly lowered their voices and used gentle movements out of respect for the dogs' perceptions, and this also made them pay attention to their impact on the people around them. Lastly, at the achievement presentation meetings, the kids got to serve as speakers, and went up on stage confidently to talk. In these talks, the children conveyed how the training experience increased their love for animals and respect for life to the teachers and their classmates.
