On November 7, the Health Inspection Office held the "2025 Animal Protection Volunteer Liaison Meeting and End-of-Term Commendation Event" to thank the volunteers for their enthusiastic dedication and silent contributions throughout the year. The top three volunteers in terms of service hours were awarded the Elite Award and a certificate of appreciation to recognize their selfless dedication and spirit. Among them, 14 volunteers who have been in service for a year and have accumulated more than 100 service hours were awarded fuchsia-colored vests to become senior volunteers!
The Taichung Animal Protection Volunteer Team is full of enthusiasm and energy. This year (2025), the number of attending volunteers has increased significantly compared to last year, with a total of 92 volunteers participating in the service. This has enabled the various animal protection activities organized by the Health Inspection Office to proceed smoothly. Whether it is assisting with dog washing and walking the dog and adoption in the campus, or supporting large-scale events such as 66 Bazaar and Taichung Citizens' Picnic Day, the volunteers' presence always adds warmth and smiles to the scene. The Health Inspection Office thanks every volunteer partner and looks forward to continuing to work with everyone in the future to jointly create a better animal protection environment. Today, the annual volunteer end-of-term liaison meeting was held. In addition to letting the volunteer partners understand the operation of the volunteer team, they also reviewed the service achievements of the past year, including activities such as assisting with dog and cat adoption at the animal shelter on weekends, exercising and sunbathing with the dogs, basic grooming classes, and dog training courses. Through the process of service and learning, the volunteers have not only accumulated practical experience, but also gained rich physical, mental, and spiritual growth. During the meeting, the volunteers actively exchanged ideas and offered valuable suggestions, discussing how to make the team operate more efficiently and with greater cohesion. The atmosphere was warm and lively, fully demonstrating the enthusiasm and centripetal force of the animal protection volunteer team.
The Animal Protection and Health Inspection Office's volunteer team will not stop serving; we will continue to work hard and achieve even better results. We hope that our volunteer partners can join hands and work together to overcome all challenges and continue their efforts for animals. Those interested in joining the volunteer team can continue to follow the Animal Protection and Health Inspection Office's volunteer service section for recruitment information. We look forward to your participation!
