A gentle breeze caresses the face, and autumn quietly drapes the city in a golden veil, making it the perfect season for family outings and getting close to nature. This year's (2025) 66 Bazaar, organized by the Health Inspection Office, made a lively debut on October 18 at Animal Shelter's Houli Campus and Houli Environmental Park! With the theme "Sweet Home," this year's bazaar highlighted that every fur baby deserves a warm and safe home. The bazaar featured a dazzling array of animal-themed booths, meticulously designed theatrical performances, and challenging fun competitions, as well as heartwarming voices from all sectors of society advocating for animal rights, allowing citizens and their fur babies to spend a warm and unforgettable autumn day together.
The Health Inspection Office has specially invited the "Wo Theater" to present two wonderful environmental theater performances. The first performance took the audience into "Animal Shelter's Houli Campus" - a place hailed as "Taiwan's most beautiful animal shelter," quietly protecting countless fur babies waiting for new homes. Through theatrical performance, citizens will not only be audience members but also participants in the story, following the characters to learn about the campus, seeing the animals' past experiences and hopes for the future, waiting for someone to take them on a lifelong journey and give them a sweet home. The second performance focused on the charity booths at the bazaar, introducing the audience to these non-governmental organizations that have been deeply cultivating in various corners of society for many years to promote animal protection. They are like a beacon of life, working tirelessly every day to give a voice to animals that cannot speak, illuminating empathy in society. Environmental theater acted as a bridge, allowing the audience to better understand that the public-private partnership between the public sector and non-governmental organizations is an important force in making cities more animal-friendly.
66 Bazaar was not just a heartwarming autumn gathering, but also a profound dialogue about "home." The Health Inspection Office hopes to convey respect for all life, allowing more people to understand that pets are not toys but family members, deserving the sincerest companionship and comprehensive care. Pet owners should learn to understand their pets' physical and mental needs and become responsible and loving owners. "Sweet Home" is a beautiful vision, wishing that every fur baby has a warm home, making Taichung a beautiful city that is friendly to animals.
